[email protected]

with the following information: Your name, the office you are running for, the date of your election and your contact information including email and phone number.

Process for  Endorsement:
Only registered Democrats are eligible for endorsement. Candidates seeking endorsement by Sacramento Stonewall are required to complete a candidate questionnaire (email [email protected] to obtain the candidate questionnaire). After filling out the questionnaire and sending it to the PAC Chair at [email protected], the PAC Chair will invite other Democratic candidates in the same race to participate in the process.

After interviewing eligible candidates, the PAC recommends a candidate for the club’s endorsement. The PAC’s recommendation is reviewed by the Stonewall Board which usually schedules the endorsement vote for the next membership meeting. All Stonewall endorsements must be approved by the general membership.

If the PAC is unable to agree on a candidate to recommend for endorsement, the general membership may consider the endorsement without a recommendation. At these meeting each candidate has an opportunity to the general membership meeting before the vote occurs at the meeting.

Threshold for Endorsement:
To receive club’s endorsement, a candidate must receive 60% of the votes of Stonewall members participating and voting over the course of the general membership meeting when to vote happens.

Voting to Endorse Candidates:
Only current Stonewall Members are permitted to vote. Per the Sacramento Stonewall bylaws, you must be a member for 14 days or more before the meeting in order to vote. To join Stonewall and participate in the endorsement process, click on Join/Renew button above.
